Spending a calm night outside Antalya on a huge lonely beach until a young (drunken) couple drove up the beach with their sport-car at around 5 o’clock in the morning and got stuck in the sand. For the first time we had to use the winch of the Unimog to pull the car out…
We are refuging the mega resorts around Antalya and hitting north with direction Konya.
Sometimes we just looking for a historical place or attraction on the map because we want a coffee stop. Than we don’t really visit them (there are so many archeological sites in Turkey- old stones!) but enjoying the break on a special/ nice place. Sometimes we get surprised like hier in Aspendos, a temple site with a the best restorative ancient theater in the world.
Surrounded with snow mountains covered with spring flowers and a huge theater…. Beautiful place to feel the forgotten past. It’s warm and Basco had to climb up all these seat rows.
In Tasagil we leave the mainroad and get fortunately completely back in nature, climbing up to 1300 m, until we reach fresh snow and enjoying a high plateau valley with wild horses around.
It’s winter temperature in the Beysehir National Park where we arrive in the late afternoon and take the scientific road around Beysehir Gölü. The lake is the largest sweet water lake in Türkiye and a little bird paradise.
