Why not staying a couple of more days in Bulgaria? There is a “small” (the third largest resort in Bulgaria) skiresort only 150 km from the border. Ha… some more days in the snow!
One of the officers at the Bulgarian boarder is a fanatic motorcycle rider – he plans us a beautiful route towards Pamporovo all along the little river/canyon Arda. It’s sunny and the temperature is over 20C degrees.
In Kardzhali we stop for lunch at a special scenic place: A stand-alone rock with the cute name: “stone-wedding” in the middle of a white rock formation.
In Pamporovo we are spending three days of snowboarding and hiking with our split-boards in warm sunny spring conditions. And yes: winter-wild-camping just next to the slopes.
